Over the past 47 years, The Staff Association Council has played an important role in advocating for classified staff through the shared governance structure at the University of Pittsburgh. While many have come to know the Staff Association Council name, the hard work has and continues to be done by the organization’s members, and staff across the University’s five campuses.
In an effort to carry on that legacy, strengthen advocacy and engagement efforts, raise organizational visibility and awareness, and better align ourselves with the University’s strategic initiatives, the organization has launched a strategic rebranding initiative. As a result, the Staff Association Council will now be known as the University of Pittsburgh Staff Council.

Staff Council looks forward to building on recruitment efforts to gain members from unrepresented constituencies across campuses, increasing our commitment to professional development for all staff, and reinforcing strategic partnerships with University administration.
