Join the University of Pittsburgh Staff Council and the Department of Parking, Transportation and Services, in partnership with BikePGH, for a #LunchLoop on Tuesday August 8 beginning at 12pm in Schenley Plaza. BikePGH team members will lead a customized 30-45 ride through Oakland, promoting safety, health, and awareness along the way. Join the ride and energize your work day!
Healthy Ride Bikes will be provided; participants are free to bring their own bicycles if they choose. Attendance is capped at 50 participants. It's recommend that particpants bring shoes they can bike in, a helmet, and a change of cloths. Weather pending, it would also be a good idea to think about having sunscreen, a raincoat, a water bottle, and sunglasses in the case of a sunny or rainy day. Unless there is severe weather, we try to do the loop regardless of rain or shine. Details will be shared with particpants closer to the event.
Whether new to bicycling or a gritty veteran, check out BikePGH’s Urban Biking Companion in preparation, which contains information about safety, how to bike in an urban setting, and PA laws that we are required to follow while riding within the city.
Please register below, and be sure to let us know wether you are using your own bike or not in the comments:
